First Baptist Church of Aledo is a fellowship of believers from all walks of life united by our desire to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We seek to disciple other believers, so they might join us in the joy of sharing the perfect love of our Savior.

You do not need to become a member to worship and fellowship with us. We welcome everyone. Becoming a member demonstrates your commitment to serving our Lord Jesus actively and allows our staff and organization to make you a part of our church family. Membership is not a special club but a desire to live out Hebrews 10:24-25 in honor of Christ “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” We desire to honor the Lord by equipping and encouraging the children of God to Love Christ, Love Others and Live Biblically.

If you desire to join with us and support the beliefs, fellowship, and mission of our church, we warmly invite you to become a member in the following ways:

A public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and acceptance of Him as your personal Savior. Baptism will follow your decision as the first step of obedience to follow Christ. Upon profession and baptism, we welcome you not only as a brother or sister in Christ, but also as a member of our church family.

If you are currently a member of another Baptist Church, we will receive you as a member upon promise of a letter of transfer from that church. Our staff will contact that church to notify them of your decision and request to transfer by letter. A "letter" is a written (or electronic) communication verifying your membership at your previous church and moving your membership to FBC.

If you have previously made a public profession of faith, acknowledging that you have received Christ as your Savior and Lord, we will acknowledge that decision and welcome you to our family. If you have never been baptized (by immersion as a believer, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as a symbol of your salvation), you will want to be scheduled for a Baptismal Service.

After your decision to seek membership, information will be gathered to add to the membership registry, including name, address, phone, e-mail, former church (if applicable), and other information.
