Gifts for Nursing Home Residents

We are collecting gifts from some of the area churches for the residents of Mercer Manor and Aledo Rehab and Health Care Center! A tote and empty boxes, that are labeled Nursing Home Gifts, are in our lobby. Please feel free to take a list of gift suggestions from the front of the tote. We will be collecting unwrapped gifts until 10am on Tuesday, December 19th. Your help would also be appreciated for sorting and packing the gifts on December 19th at 10am in the church lobby. If you have any questions, please call the church office at 309-582-7812. Cathy & Linus Griswold are coordinating this effort. Thank you so much for your help with this project!

Salvation Army Bell Ringers

Christmas Eve Services

Celebrate Christmas at First Baptist on Sunday, Dec. 24th at a combined service at 9:00am. There will be no Sunday School and no 8:00am or 10:15am services. Kids Worship will be offered for children 3 years old through 1st grade and Nursery will be available for children under 3 years old.

Also join us at 7pm for our special Christmas Eve Candlelight service. This is always a beautiful and moving service. The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service offering will go towards the Deacon fund which assists local families in crisis with things like heat, food, rent etc.
